I’m Karissa (aka Made by Toast) and I am an artist with a never-ending list of creative hobbies.
When I’m not painting, you can find me cooking fun things, making lattes, and hanging out with my husband, Tanner, and bernadoodle, Corduroy, in the California redwoods!
I believe creativity is a gift from God, a characteristic woven into the fabric of every person. And when we use that creativity (in whatever form) to communicate thoughts and feelings– what it means to be human– we can understand things about ourselves and the world that we never would have otherwise. Art helps us see a better world, a more complete picture of what could be. I strive to emulate this in every piece I paint.
